A staff favorite! This Romaine type of lettuce may appear mint green in color but not taste. This crisp lettuce has a mild, sweet, and crunchy flavor. It has leaves with a very characteristic spikey texture, making them an excellent addition to salads.
I'm newish to growing lettuce & out of all the lettuces I've grown so far, Crisp Mint Lettuce is my top favourite! Some lettuces are bland, some are bitter, some taste very "green". For anyone that thinks lettuce has no flavour.......
THIS ONE was a wonderful, sweet, FLAVOURFUL, crunchy lettuce. I wish I had grown more of this variety!!!!! Such a treat! Can't wait to grow a tonne xome spring!
Germinates fast, nice crispy heads in a few weeks. I have failed to grow nice headed lettuce in the past but this kind grows reliably for me. I have purchased several packs for others to try too!
Lettuce in my indoor grow room..yay
Can’t wait to try these!
I've never had any luck growing lettuce until I tried the Crisp Mint variety. This one grew great, and unlike the other varieties I planted, it didn't get bitter quickly. The germination rate was really good. This variety is on my "must grow" list again for this year. I'm even going to try to grow some indoors with grow lights to be sure we have salad fixings all year round.
This is my first year growing straw flower. The germination rate is fantastic and you get so many seeds. Can't wait till they can moved outdoors and bloom in my purple flower bed.
Everything but the royal paste sprouted. Sometimes that happens. Will place another order for fall planting.
This variety was excellent for me for cooking. I needed to pick fewer leaves and chopping was a breeze. The spinich felt more succulent and thicker than the American (smaller spoon shaped leaves). I would use it for cooking and keep the smaller leaved varieties for raw salad eating. My weather was a tricky early on and off again spring and winter pattern, so I think that triggered early bolting, but even still. It was pretty hands off and worth it.
Awesome producer and neat looking fruit! The abundant cucumber beetles seem to ignore the vines too!
Haven’t planted yet. Looking forward to adding to salads! So happy MIgarden had these. Hard to find Microgreen seeds
