Ayocote Morado bean, also known as Purple Runner bean, is a stunning heirloom variety prized for its vibrant purple color and robust flavor. Native to Mexico, this climbing bean produces large, hearty beans perfect for stews, soups, and salads. The plants are vigorous climbers, reaching up to 12 feet, and thrive in well-drained soil with full sun exposure. Maturing in about 90-100 days, Ayocote Morado beans are celebrated for their high protein content and rich, meaty texture.
I like trying to grow this bean to share with my dad who grew up eating this bean in his youth in Mexico. I live in south Texas and it grows best for me during the fall as it does not like our warm springs and summer.
So I took the decision of buying another packet to try them out this season!
Can't wait to try them ! You always put more seeds than what's written on your packages and that's a plus ! Thank you !
Here’s what happened when I planted there beans. They grew and grew AND grew! Beautiful red flowers … which I love for the bees and hummingbirds. I planted my whole pkg 10 seeds. I think I planted them a little late… the plants were still at least twelve feet tall with tons of flowers… but I didn’t get hardly beans that were ready when the frost came. I ended up with 16 seeds. I will definitely plants these again but I will get them in the ground much earlier. I have one question…The seed packet says maturing in 90-100 days and the plant attributes says matures in 65 days. … big difference. I love this company and bought almost all of my seeds from Ml
The order came very quickly. The beans haven't come up yet. I have always been satisfied with my orders. Thank you.

Packaged well, delivered on time, and great quality for the cost.
Alabama here. My order, 2 Early Italian & 2 Silverwhite softneck garlic were delivered and packaged nicely. I’ve never ordered garlic before didn’t know which types to order, so, I looked at the reviews and made my decision from that. On Nov. 7 they were planted in containers after our first frost, before planting, I placed them in the fridge about 4 weeks and then waited 3 days before I could plant them, Silverwhite had a little brown discoloration probably from refrigeration. Planted 45 cloves, so far, 20 have sprouted, last counted them the day before. I Truly believe it will be a successful harvest. Excited, can’t wait till spring gets here.

Seed garlic arrived in great condition. I just got them planted, so I can’t speak about successful “germination” or harvesting, yet. But, I always have great success with anything I purchase from MIGardener. 😊
Highly recommend. Love the chicory flowers.
Great variety and shipping was fast!
