The Royal Burgundy bush bean is an exceptional heirloom variety known for its striking deep purple pods that add vibrant color to any garden. These beans mature in about 60 days, producing an abundance of slender, tender, and stringless pods that are easy to harvest. The compact, bushy plants are resistant to common bean diseases and perform well in a variety of climates, including cooler temperatures. When cooked, the purple pods turn green, revealing their delicious, crisp flavor. Ideal for fresh eating, canning, and freezing.

I am only able to grow them starting in June. After 30 days, ability to review closes. Since the ability to review expires, I cannot wait to leave the review. After I grow these, I hope I will be able to come back and update with the full stars. I love your company!
I grew these as a part of the bush bean Mix pack last year. I liked them so much I got a whole pack this year. They were so easy to grow in my garden. Even when bugs were eating the leaves they produced well! Great flavor. They do turn green when cooked, but that was fine with me!
Planted all of my seeds over the weekend. Looking forward to some great produce this summer!

Great fertilizer. Used for the first time last year for my fall bulbs and they were stunning and strong come spring. Planting another 250 bulbs this fall so came back for more bulb fertilizer. I also use the Trifecta. Can’t go wrong with any of Luke’s amendments.
Great germination and very prolific.
I grew this in a straw bale garden in 2025 and really enjoyed it. It grew amazingly well and was beautiful, so I purchased more for 2026. Michigan zone 6b.
I have grown these for the last few years and they are hands down my favorite. I like romas and firm tomatoes. These remind me of mini romas. These are less prone to splitting, super easy to harvest and has a super great flavor and very meaty. YUM!
The cloves are large, full and heavy. Of the two cloves I kept (shared 2 with my daughter), 12 were large enough to plant, 1 will be consumed.
