Summer Vine. This Italian variety is as flavorful as it is long. It is known as ‘snake gourd’ because of its appearance and ability to bend and twist like one. The flavor is tender, almost cucumber meets zucchini. . .cucuzzi-ish! Fruits start off fuzzy and as they mature they become shinier as the flesh thickens. Try this steamed, roasted, grilled, or even in soups. The uses are endless for this world-famous Italian squash.

Grown the birdhouse gourd before but these are similar. Will be looking forwarding to growing some
My grandfather used to grow this in his garden, and my grandma would turn it into an tenerumi soup. I have been trying to get cucuzzo to grow in my garden for many years with little success. I finally found that the key to getting seeds to germinate is by using sand paper to sand the hard shelled seed down. I have tried different methods like soaking the seeds in a damp paper towel, snipping the tip of the seed off, keeping it on a seed warming mat, etc.. but the only luck I've had is to sand down the whole seed with sand paper. My next battle were slugs. I was finally able to get 3 plants going this year, and they're taking over! I have tons of fruit and beautiful tenerumi that I'm so excited to make! This whole process has been pretty nostalgic for me and really made me think of my grandparents all along the way. So fun! :)
I planted several seeds in composted in ground beds with a cattle panel trellis. It was a bit slow to sprout but once it did, it took over the entire three section cattle panel trellis, rounding the top and coming down the other side. I have many fruits started, the largest one is around 2 ft now with more on the way. I am impressed. Zone 6b outside of St Louis mo.

The taste of this tomato is super sweet. I made pico de gallo and it was a treat. I got a one pound tomato in my grow bag.
I got a good variety of seeds. I can’t wait to plant them next spring.
I wasn’t expecting that much garlic. My box was full of soft neck and hard neck.
They are doing beautifully. I can't wait for the spring!
As a homeschooling project, my seven year old grew this cauliflower, which is his favorite vegetable. He entered it into the county fair and won a first place prize. Easy to grow, and kept covered with a mesh fabric. Purchased the same seeds again, this time trying winter sowing in a raised garden bed with 6ml plastic hooped over top. Starting to head out again even if the outdoor temps are 30-40 during the day and 30-20 at night
