Determinate- Cherry Falls tomato is a delightful, cascading variety perfect for containers, hanging baskets, and small garden spaces. This determinate tomato plant produces an abundance of sweet, juicy cherry tomatoes that ripen to a vibrant red. The vines, which reach about 18-24 inches in length, gracefully drape over the edges of containers, creating an attractive and productive display. Cherry Falls matures in approximately 55-65 days, making it an early-season favorite. Ideal for fresh eating, salads, and snacking, these tomatoes offer a burst of flavor in every bite. With its compact growth habit and prolific yield, Cherry Falls is a must-have for any garden.
I've been growing this indoors under grow lights - both in soil and in a aerogarden. It is very prolific compared to my other microdwarf tomatoes like Tiny Tim and Orange Hat. Big clusters that turn red quickly. They do need some support so that they don't droop down too much. Great for containers!
The taste was underwhelming. Cherry Falls produced a nice crop but I found myself letting them fall to the ground. Tumbling Tom produces a better flavor for a cascading tomato. In general as cherry tomato flavor goes it gets a 2 out of 10 in my garden.
I will be starting my seed trays in March, but I can't wait to try all the cherry tomatoes I ordered, most of them we've never had before! So so excited! Thank you for all you guys do at MIGardener
I have found that so many seeds that I purchase germinate beautifully compared to other options available. Can not wait to see what harvest I get this year! Merry Christmas!
I'll be using a milk jug method to get an early start in March. I look forward to these in the summer. My son loves to put them on skewers with onions on the barbeque!
