This was a beautiful addition to our family salads. Great taste and not too fussy in the garden. When I thinned it well, it grew to a wonderful size. If I left it thickly planted, the leaves were straight and thin - still great for eating!

Red romaine is the way to go. I love the crispness of the leaves, and the beautiful coloring this variety has. Excellent germination rate, I never have to over-sew. A regular in my spring and autumn gardens.

They all germinated so well and did great in my raised beds!! Was so delicious in my salads too. I did plant them too thick so I definitely recommend going back and thinning.

Great germination, takes a few days longer than some, like growing to mature size, looks nice red/burgundy, is Not bitter even in heat. Will repeat again zone 5b
