First Frost: Typically late Sept to early Oct
Plant fast-growing, cold-tolerant crops starting in late July through mid-August. Focus on varieties that mature in 30–50 days. Consider using row covers or cold frames to extend your season.
Start sowing:
Spinach, arugula, mâche, kale: Late July to early August
Radish, turnip, cold-hardy lettuce: Early to mid-August
Quick tip: In Zone 3, stick with ultra-fast greens and root crops—your window is shorter but still productive!
Zones 3–5:

Planting this new color in the spring. Love the other colors I have from you.
