Junebearing - Dormant Runners- A medium-sized strawberry with glossy skin and small seeds. Fruits are prolific and are some of the first junebearing varieties to ripen. Known as the "MAYbe berry" by some, it is given that name because it fruits so early that there may be berries in late May depending on your location!

Not sure which strawberry to grow? Here's our complete growing guide on strawberries.
Love Galletta Strawberries! I planted them spring 2023, and now in spring of 2024 have big healthy well established plants producing big delicious strawberries and sending out runners! I have them in long planters on the ground and I'm pretty sure it was the slugs who discovered them, so I had to net my strawberries. I gave the slugs their own un-netted planter full of strawberry plants to eat off of, yes you read that correctly I'm crazy like that I feed my slugs 😆, {and birds}. When they have their own strawberries to eat they are less interested in attempting to get under the net in to mine. I can't kill things. Not even Leopard slugs, I found out they can live for a few years and they are very cute with their little antennae. If they ever become a huge problem for me I will collect them and find a suitable, cool, damp habitat to relocate them to, away from humans, and gardens 🙂.
These bare root strawberry plants were packaged very nicely, and look healthy. I planted them just after they arrived in the mail and they look to be doing very well.
Growing very nice and are all alive
Not sure what the roots are going to do, they were a gift for a growing garden
