Coffee is the most consumed beverage in the world, and you can now grow your own! Strictly an indoor/outdoor house plant unless you live in zones 11, 12, or 13. Plants will grow in a low bush 3-5 feet tall and will not require any pruning. Coffee plants make an excellent house plant and will grow well in moderate light (3-4 hours of full sun) and can tolerate full sun just fine. They also thrive in a container. A fast grower once established. Plants will yield fruit after 3-4 years, plants will flower in April-July, and fill the house with hints of jasmine, vanilla, citrus, and sweet sugary notes. Fruit will begin green and turn deep red when ripe. Fruit can then be harvested and removed seed from the center of each berry (a cherry pitter works great for this) and the seed can be washed and set out to dry for 5-7 days before being roasted.
Zones 11-13
Bought seeds in advance of my next growing season. Arrived quickly and well packaged.
Everything was great.
I ordered these for fun. Hopefully I can get them to grow. 🌱
Coffee takes 2-6 months to germinate under great conditions. My conditions may not be 'great' enough. Ask me again in six months and I'll let you know if I have had any success!
Unsure if it was a me error or if I just got a bad batch but none sprouted, I will try again eventually and change my review if anything changes.

We have nice fertile soil in our greenhouse and able to control those pesty little flea beetles that can decimate eggplants foliage. I've been keeping them under control with DE and my eggplants are massive in size, about 3-4 feet tall with 1 foot lower leaves.
The eggplants fruit are developing nicely, nearly doubling in size daily. There are plenty of blossoms too. We're expecting that we won't need to grow more for a few years, we're planning on freeze drying most if them.
I purchased several packs of seeds from MiGardener during the semi annual sale, and they did not disappoint! Nearly 100 percent germination rate on all seeds I've planted. The only thing I haven't been able to germinate is lemon grass, which I'm learning may 1 take a very long time to germinate in general and 2 need bottom heat to help them sprout. Even without being on sale 2 bucks a seed pack for the amount they give (very generous compared to other companies, I might add) is a crazy good deal. If you have been on the fence, I encourage you to give MiGardener seeds a try! Thank you Luke and team, and Happy Gardening to all!
I'm not a seasoned gardener, so I don't necessarily know what's normal or not, but out of all the seeds I planted (got about a dozen different herbs and greens from MIgardener), the fenugreek was the quickest to sprout, had the highest germination rate, and the largest sprouting leaves. I'm pretty excited to watch them grow into beautiful plants.
Gardening for over 40 years. The Trifecta very impressed has all the elements I want in a fertilizer. Next year I will buy the largest amount.
Second squash to produce for me. Picked young and the skin is very thin/easily bruises. Roasted first batch and they were a delicious mild flavor! Very soft but the roasting gave a nice crust on them. 2nd batch mixed in a stir fry and it overcooked very easily and was mushy. I like how prolific this plant is and the mild taste. Just need to make sure not to overcook. Well definitely grow again.
