0-100 SHU. The pimento pepper is a sweet, mild variety of Capsicum annuum. Recognizable by its heart-shaped, vibrant red fruits, the pimento pepper typically measures 3-4 inches long and 2-3 inches wide. Its thick, juicy flesh is exceptionally sweet and aromatic, making it perfect for a variety of culinary uses, including fresh eating, stuffing, roasting, and canning.
My Mom used to grow these, always tasted fantastic. Looking forward to having some again!
Grew these thinking they were good for making paprika. Turns out, They are so sweet and almost like eating candy, I prefer them on salads, by themselves and never dried any, but you do get quite a few peppers from a plant. They certainly do need fertilized, a fertilizer that has about 5 or 6 on the P and K maybe a 3 on the N. Too much nitrogen seems to grow vegetative growth but fewer peppers.
Tried this as something new. It grew well (in SE TEXAS Zone 8b) under harsh conditions of high humidity & heat (regularly 96F or more). Unfortunately I didn't enjoy eating it. So used it as a seasoning when cooking. But I do recommend if you like these types of thick walled peppers for stuffing. They never got bigger than 2.5 inches in my climate.
One of my favorite peppers, VERY prolific!!
Had a wonderful harvest this year with these seeds.

Fantastic Zucchini!! Very tender tasty and huge :)))
As described. Good germination.
We have nice fertile soil in our greenhouse and able to control those pesty little flea beetles that can decimate eggplants foliage. I've been keeping them under control with DE and my eggplants are massive in size, about 3-4 feet tall with 1 foot lower leaves.
The eggplants fruit are developing nicely, nearly doubling in size daily. There are plenty of blossoms too. We're expecting that we won't need to grow more for a few years, we're planning on freeze drying most if them.
