AnnualCymbopogon citratus. Lemongrass is one of the herbs many people don't feel they can grow. However, lemongrass grows easily in containers or in-ground and will grow well even in places with shorter growing seasons. The plant is a tender perennial to zone 9. It can be cut and dried for teas, essential oil, or lemongrass soup. Leaves and stalk have a distinct but soft lemon flavor. Lemongrass essential oil is often used in cosmetics, body care, and aromatherapy. Leaves reach up to one meter long.

Germination was quick but the plant does take a long time to get to full maturity. Start your seeds really early in the season. I love lemongrass. I grow lemongrass for tea. The scent and flavor is amazing
I got good germination rates on the seeds I planted. They're slow growing but they do seem to be growing!
Grew great and survived longer into fall than I expected. Very strong lemongrass smell.
The seeds do take time for germination. I was advised to sow the entire packet early spring, in a plastic gallon milk carton. Around 18 days later some sprouts began to appear. Transplanted later in containers and in ground. I will note that for my zone 10a, the leaves grew taller in the ground (just over 4 feet) than in a 10 gallon container (just under 2.75 feet). They have nice stalks that are half inch in size at the top, to one inch at the bottom, the leaves do brown more with our Texas afternoon sun, nothing a little shade cloth can't help. Easy to maintain, divide and re-plant for never ending harvests.

I loved my Chandler Blueberries. I have had it for a year now. As a beginner blueberry grower, I loved how easily it is to maintain the plant in its healthy state. I live in Zone 7. It lived through its first winter snow, and sprouted back up in Spring, just shows how cold-hardy it can be. It is now slowly blooming. Hopefully in the next few years it will produce me some juicy blueberries!
Not so great raw, but awesome sautéed and in soups! Grows great in warm climate. It takes a while to get started, but once it takes off, it doesn't stop! Very easy for new gardeners ❣️
Once the bare root arrived, I immediately saw a sprout growing from the tip. I was pleasantly surprised it had gone out of dormancy. It is currently growing healthy green foliage outside in part shade and full sun. I see a few grape clusters though unfortunately I have to cut them, so the plant’s roots fully establish.
