The history of Inchelium Red is still commonly unknown. What we do know is that this soft neck variety’s first known location to us was in Washington State. Originally found on the Colville Indian Reservation in Inchelium, this heirloom has been termed the oldest variety cultivated. The deep red striped wrapping is easy to peel from the smooth white flesh of the garlic cloves. In the best growing conditions, the heads can mature up to 20 mid-flavored cloves tightly packed together. As the stem dries out, its strength and malleability make it perfect for braiding to store. Braided garlic will last for up to nine months in a cool dark environment. Like most soft-neck garlic, the Inchelium Red can be grown in both the northern and southern climates producing a great harvest!
Storage Life: 8-10 months
Cloves per Bulb: Approx. 4-20 cloves
Love MIgardener!
So far so good. Received in good condition, good sized bulb. Planted 11/21, sprouted 11/28.
This seed garlic is great. No rotten cloves, good skin and it planted well. In the ground for 2 weeks in zone 9 and it's already popping up through the pine shaving mulch.
I got about 9 cloves per head to plant. Some of the outer ones were quite large. These have robust outer layers of protection. Once you get to the center cloves break the bottom plate away rather than breaking the cloves away, that will keep you from cracking the outer layers of the cloves. Even if you're using them for cooking, you should keep the flesh of the cloves protected.
Planted this type of garlic last year so I ordered more to increase the size if next years garlic. Has a great taste. Received shipment on time and the bulbs looked great.
Perfect!

All of the potatoes are growing beautifully! I am please with the purchasez
Thank you for fulfilling our order for red raspberry plants. I ordered 20 plants, 7 for my daughter in law’s birthday present and 13 for our new red raspberry bed. Twelve of the 13 we planted have thrown out shoots and leaves. We are patiently waiting on the 13th. Red raspberries are one of our favorite fruits and are used to make our favorite jam. We look forward to picking our own harvest.
I have had great success with all my purchases from MIGardner. The potatoes arrived timely and had plenty of eyes. I only lost one cutting to rot while skinning and the rest successfully sprouted. Very happy, the rest is up to me!
We purchased four kits and made the 3x8 variety. The process was swift and easy to perform. It can be done by one person. Our beds are filled with soil and ready for the 2025 planting season!
This spinach is awesome. I winter sowed it in Feb 2025 in some gallon jugs and deep lettuce containers. It came up great. Transplanted to a raised bed in April Although the leaves are huge, they are super tasty. So far, I am loving your seeds. Would buy again!!!
