Borago officinalis. An attractive annual, producing cucumber-flavored leaves and attractive flowers. Use to flavor salads, pickles, cream cheese spreads, or cook and eat like spinach. It is a surprisingly large plant for the size of the flowers it puts out. Flowers cluster on flower stalks in groups of 8-10 flowers all blue with a white center. Beautiful grown in containers. Grows 1-2'/25/61 cm high.
The Borage is a delightful plant with a beautiful flower. They have self seeded in the past in PA. It was purchased for my Twin in Georgia. Twin can start her seeds in Georgia about a month earlier than where I live in Pennsylvania. She planted all of them already. No news yet on how they have germinated so can only give 4 stars.

omg my wife has borg growing everywhere its drawing in lots of bees so no complaints this is first time growing them with my tomatoes every 3rd tomato plant we planted borg first basil second was French marigold trying different things this year to help with bugs.
Borage has become an unlikely favorite in my garden. A few years ago, I tried it, because "Why not?" The stems are fuzzy, the flowers change between pink, light periwinkle, and blue, and have a refreshing taste. They make a pretty garnish. They have also been a gateway edible flower for friends. For some reason, friends have been willing to try these over say violas, marigold, or dandelion, for example. They're pleasantly surprised by the mild taste and a few have then been open to exploring other edibles. They easily reseed for the next year. I can't say enough good things!
Borage has great tasting flowers. My kids love eating them. Be aware that they do reseed easily if you don’t pick all the flowers. I had so many volunteers the next year. But they were easy to pull out when small and even transplanted well.
Fuzzy texture and vibrant electric blue sparse flowers added lively texture & color to my garden. Bees preferred it. I topped my toasted cream cheese bagels with the plucked blooms and the strawberries I interplanted them with. Flavor reminiscent of cucumber & violas. Perfection.
Some struggled when temperatures climbed to the 90's(F) and above.

I ordered two Natchez Blackberry plugs. If I had known the quality I would have ordered more! There was great care taken into consideration when it came to shipping these live plants. They arrived fully intact with not even a broken leaf. I'm hoping to expand my berry patch with thornless berries. Im tired of the old way of leaving sweat and tears in the berry patch. I'll definitely order more if given the chance.
Trying something I heard about. Planted sweet peas in the extra space around my asparagus. So far, so good.
These San Marzano tomatoes have the most robust stems of all my tomato plants. First time tomato gardener but I have high hopes for this sauce tomato cultivar! I am already rooting a clone because it is doing so well. Can't wait for the fruit!
I took a gamble and purchased 10
blueberry plants from MIgardener this year - I am so beyond impressed with the quality.
I’ve had these in my sunroom since I received them, and haven’t even gotten to repotting them yet. They’re already growing flowers! I will purchase all seeds and plants from MIgardener from now on!!
