AnnualIn between lettuce and cabbage, this plant has a similar time to maturity as the two. It is a bitter green that is packed with nutrients. Nicely bitter and spicy leaves become sweeter when cooked; a favorite Italian method is grilling this with olive oil. Use sparingly with other greens it can add color as well as some important antioxidants. Grow these to add to your favorite salad mix!

I am excited to grow this wonderful veggie to help me stay healthy and help my mom use food as medicine against cancer. While I know it’s not a cure in and of itself, it has many great properties to strengthen and fight off disease. What a blessing to go out in your garden and bring in edible health treasures—let food be thy medicine, as Hippocrates once said;)
Any leafy thing with reddish leaves does better in heat than green in terms of bolting. This is no exception. My zone 9b/10a, we dont really get winter weather, so the best i can do is something like this. It isnt a lettuce, so to speak, but goes well mixed in a salad. I like them as baby greens mixed into other lettuce to make a mesclun type salad mix. It has some bitterness when it gets full grown in heat, but this is true of other types of this radiccio. Germination was near 100%.

My only complaint is that I was not prepared for how well and fast all of the seeds would grow soI had to pot up earlier than expected! I am very happy with all of the seeds I have purchased from here!
I think I got near perfect germination on these. Cauliflower has always been challenging for me to time it out and know when to harvest. I've been learning that crops that have purple or reds in them (looking at my red lettuce varieties and purple sprouting broccoli) seem to bolt less quickly than their green counterparts in heat.
I have been buying seeds from you for the last 3 years. They germinate very well, and have produced the best gardens I have ever had. I just got my order for this year started in my greenhouse. For the first time I opened a packet of All Seasons Cabbage and there were no seeds in it. the rest of the order is doing great. The price of the seeds also good.

This is my first year growing straw flower. The germination rate is fantastic and you get so many seeds. Can't wait till they can moved outdoors and bloom in my purple flower bed.
Everything but the royal paste sprouted. Sometimes that happens. Will place another order for fall planting.
