I live in southeastern NC. The Pompeii onion grew well in my front yard garden bed which receives approx. 6 hours of morning sunlight and 6 hours of afternoon shade. Tasty strong flavor in this little onion. Great for pickling and adding to sandwiches.

Great flavor. Germination rate was outstanding

2023 seed germinated Dec 2024. They emerged within 7 days massed planted in a 4” pot under in a warm greenhouse with 60% humidity. Excited to grow these on for my own sets this coming spring.

The seeds look good but I'm taking a chance buying this year's onion seed for next year. Since I'm in Zone 7a, I'll be planting early. Great price.
