Ocimum basilicum. As the name suggests, Mammoth basil is a robust variety known for its large, ruffled leaves that can grow up to 4 inches long. This basil is prized for its intense, sweet aroma and flavor, making it ideal for pesto, salads, and culinary dishes. Mammoth basil's impressive leaf size and vibrant green color add a striking visual element to gardens and containers. Remove flowers on this variety to promote larger leaf growth.
I planted it twice. It either didn't germinate or died before it got 1/2"tall. I have grown 11 other basils this year and they germinated, and I have healthy plants from them. Disappointed.
Order came quick.
By far my favorite Basil. The green leaves a very large and have a beautiful curly look. We eat them fresh and dehydrated them all summer long.
Lives up to its name. Gorgeous large leaves. Milder flavor compared to the genovese basil. And looks gorgeous in a pot.
These plants are massive! I plant a ton of basil every year and these plants dwarfed all others. I got so many leaves off them that we had a pint of fresh pesto in the fridge at all times and I was able to freeze over 2 gallons of it, that's in addition to what we ate fresh and dried for use over the winter. I'll be planning more of this next year!

As described. Good germination.
We have nice fertile soil in our greenhouse and able to control those pesty little flea beetles that can decimate eggplants foliage. I've been keeping them under control with DE and my eggplants are massive in size, about 3-4 feet tall with 1 foot lower leaves.
The eggplants fruit are developing nicely, nearly doubling in size daily. There are plenty of blossoms too. We're expecting that we won't need to grow more for a few years, we're planning on freeze drying most if them.
I purchased several packs of seeds from MiGardener during the semi annual sale, and they did not disappoint! Nearly 100 percent germination rate on all seeds I've planted. The only thing I haven't been able to germinate is lemon grass, which I'm learning may 1 take a very long time to germinate in general and 2 need bottom heat to help them sprout. Even without being on sale 2 bucks a seed pack for the amount they give (very generous compared to other companies, I might add) is a crazy good deal. If you have been on the fence, I encourage you to give MiGardener seeds a try! Thank you Luke and team, and Happy Gardening to all!
I'm not a seasoned gardener, so I don't necessarily know what's normal or not, but out of all the seeds I planted (got about a dozen different herbs and greens from MIgardener), the fenugreek was the quickest to sprout, had the highest germination rate, and the largest sprouting leaves. I'm pretty excited to watch them grow into beautiful plants.
Gardening for over 40 years. The Trifecta very impressed has all the elements I want in a fertilizer. Next year I will buy the largest amount.
