Monarda citriodora. Not a true mint, this variety is a dramatic addition to the herb garden. Clustered towers of purple flowers bloom to attract pollinators as they release a heavenly scent. Crush the leaves of this variety to release their bright lemony scent. Leaves can be used raw, dried, or cooked for seasoning in any recipe.

Haven’t planted them yet I thought I have to plan it in the summer I am a new gardener

I absolutely love this flower and the bees do too!

This took me more than a full year to get blooms but boy they did not disappoint!! It came back so strong this spring and it's late June and they are still going strong. The bees are addicted to this flower, as are butterflies and dragonflies. They make an awesome addition to a cut flower arrangement!
