Korean Red Hardneck garlic is a robust, spicy heirloom variety known for its bold flavor and reliable cold-hardiness. This hardneck variety produces large, purple-tinged bulbs with 6-8 plump, easy-to-peel cloves. Its strong, savory taste makes it perfect for use in stir-fries, marinades, and pickling. Maturing in mid-summer, Korean Red is well-suited for northern climates and tolerates harsh winters. With excellent storage capabilities, Korean Red Hardneck garlic remains flavorful for 4-6 months when properly cured and stored.

Storage Life: 4-6 months

Cloves per Bulb: Approx. 7-10 cloves

Nice Garlic!

I received my garlic for planting this fall, this is a new variety that I am trying. It arrived in a timely fashion, just like every other purchase I've made. This galic and the other varieties I ordered were beautiful heads. Can't wait to see how they do!

Nice size cloves. I didn't try any since I wanted to plant them all. We'll see how they grow and taste next summer. They went in the ground at the beginning of last week.

Newer to growing garlic

So planting garlic is fairly easy, BUT the squirrels who dig up my freshly planted garlic are next level annoying. This hardy hard neck variety is very aromatic, even with its sturdy coating on. The individual sections were plump and equal in size. Many gardening friends and acquaintances recommend this type so I’m really looking forward to reaping the benefits next summer. I plant in raise beds and I plant around the entire boarders to protect against rabbits and other pests. This really works.
