Indeterminate - German Johnson is an odd name, great tomato. With notes of citrus and melon, it is a dark pink tomato when ripe that weighs in around a pound once fully matured. This plant produces all season long with high yields. The fantastic quality of fruit is perfect for the home garden or farmers' markets. Spacing is important with this variety's huge vines! Leave a minimum of three feet between each plant for the best production.
I was excited to try this type of tomato. I started my seedlings as soon as they arrived. Unfortunately not a one seedling sprouted. I did recently start a new seedling. Still hopeful for this tomato.
The seeds took a while to come but once I got them , I planted them on March 5th indoors and the plants are now a couple inches tall and looking good
I haven't grown them yet, so I can't speak to the viability. But they were packaged very well. I do wish the shipping time would have been somewhat shorter. But customer service is great with MI Gardener.
I grew a couple of German Johnson tomatoes in Grow Boxes on the front porch. I accidently pruned off a branch I didn't intend to and quickly stuck it in the soil. The trimming quickly took root and all 3 plants produced some of the prettiest pink tomatoes I've ever seen! They were large, but the best part was the flavor. I knew I wanted more of these beauties for this season, so I had to make myself not eat one of the tomatoes so I could save seeds. The flavor is that good! We are in zone 4b, and I can recommend this variety for northern growers.
A+++

Nice big phat roots on 'em too, honestly the bed wasn't even prepared for how big the roots were. Which is a good "problem" to have if I'm being unclear
This is only my third go with gardening and so naturally I thought: “I oughta plant a few extras just in case”. Shortly after sown, 22 of 24 of the sunspot dwarf sunflower seeds have germinated! No clue where I’ll put them all yet but it’s a problem I’m happy to have. 🙂 Note:
One was not in the photo, I hadn’t moved it over to the larger pot yet. Also, If you’re a first time grower of sunflowers, please know this will not be enough room for this many of them. This photo is of a temporary home for them for just a few days while I sort more space. I didn’t plan to have so many growing this year. #Grow Bigger
This seed germinated beautifully!
I ordered two Natchez Blackberry plugs. If I had known the quality I would have ordered more! There was great care taken into consideration when it came to shipping these live plants. They arrived fully intact with not even a broken leaf. I'm hoping to expand my berry patch with thornless berries. Im tired of the old way of leaving sweat and tears in the berry patch. I'll definitely order more if given the chance.
Trying something I heard about. Planted sweet peas in the extra space around my asparagus. So far, so good.
