This 1840s variety is a fast-maturing and reliable choice for the home gardener. Heads grow in a slightly pointed shape and resist splitting—fantastic flavor and the perfect addition to soups and salads.
Good germination
My family loves these cabbages and the heads can get huge. My chickens also enjoys the scraps.
These cabbages are continuing to mature even through the cooler temperatures and light freezes. I have 4 growing right now and could harvest right now, but they will likely grow more with the warmer weather.
I planted these seeds three days ago thinking it would be one to two weeks before I saw any sprouts, but I now have 3/4 inch shoots! I planted 10 seeds and have 10 sprouts. I'm a long way from harvesting cabbage in Central Florida due to our Jurassic-sized bugs, but what a wonderful start! I'd like to say I've been buying seeds for a few years and MI Gardener always has the highest germination rate and lowest price of any other seller I have purchased from.
I generally have challenges with growing cabbage, I harvested very nice heads from every seed I planted of this variety. It will be my go to. Large heads, good pest resistance, great flavor!

As described. Good germination.
We have nice fertile soil in our greenhouse and able to control those pesty little flea beetles that can decimate eggplants foliage. I've been keeping them under control with DE and my eggplants are massive in size, about 3-4 feet tall with 1 foot lower leaves.
The eggplants fruit are developing nicely, nearly doubling in size daily. There are plenty of blossoms too. We're expecting that we won't need to grow more for a few years, we're planning on freeze drying most if them.
I purchased several packs of seeds from MiGardener during the semi annual sale, and they did not disappoint! Nearly 100 percent germination rate on all seeds I've planted. The only thing I haven't been able to germinate is lemon grass, which I'm learning may 1 take a very long time to germinate in general and 2 need bottom heat to help them sprout. Even without being on sale 2 bucks a seed pack for the amount they give (very generous compared to other companies, I might add) is a crazy good deal. If you have been on the fence, I encourage you to give MiGardener seeds a try! Thank you Luke and team, and Happy Gardening to all!
I'm not a seasoned gardener, so I don't necessarily know what's normal or not, but out of all the seeds I planted (got about a dozen different herbs and greens from MIgardener), the fenugreek was the quickest to sprout, had the highest germination rate, and the largest sprouting leaves. I'm pretty excited to watch them grow into beautiful plants.
Gardening for over 40 years. The Trifecta very impressed has all the elements I want in a fertilizer. Next year I will buy the largest amount.
