An old family heirloom that originated with the Hanson family in Maryland. Refreshing in taste! This variety is great for those that love iceberg but want something a bit crunchier. Great to add on deli sandwiches or to toss-up for a salad.
I ordered several vegetable seeds and flower seeds for the spring
I love head lettuce...Hanson's improved fills the bill in my growing zone 9
Seeds look great an healthy. I haven't started any seedlings yet because the tropics are starting to awaken. I'm afraid i will lose them. I will update you when I have a chance to start them.
Seeds arrived quickly even though it's the busy season. I also like that the packages they come in reseal after using some of them.
I'm excited to grow this crisp head lettuce. It sounds like just what I'm looking for. I may harvest some as immature leaf lettuce and let some grow out to mature size. As always, the order came in a timely manner and exactly as described.
This is an all-star! Armenian cukes have a mild taste, store well in the refrigerator, and are delightfully crunchy. I shared them with many friends this year and each one loved them and decided to grow them next year!
My seeds arrived safely, the order was accurate, and I love how MIGardener keeps their seed packet prices low (without skimping on the seed count!). This company has a great variety of high quality seeds, I always get a great germination percentage. This winter, I'm excited to start my indoor garden of greens and other small veg so I don't have to buy the overpriced (potentially coated in chemicals) produce at the store. Keep up the good work, MIG team! Thank you for being there :-)
I planted these beets last year and they were so successful I ordered more for this year.
All of my seeds grew from last year. I have been very pleased and look forward to this new order growing this coming spring.
growing a few of these indoors under a light for winter sandwiches. they came up fine still to small to eat so jury is out on taste. growing winter plants also puts moisture in the house and it is very dry this year so bonus.
