Claytonia, also known as Miner’s Lettuce, is a tender, cold-hardy green prized for its mild, slightly tangy flavor and unique, heart-shaped leaves. Thriving in cool, shady conditions, it’s an excellent early spring or fall crop. Originally eaten by California gold miners for its vitamin C content, this nutritious green is perfect for salads or light sautés. Claytonia self-sows easily, making it a low-maintenance favorite for gardeners seeking a refreshing, nutrient-rich leafy green.
Very fast-growing! Used these in my salads all summer— delicious addition! Will keep growing next year as well.
Got these as my "fun purchase" with my recent order and added them to an indoor bed of leafy greens. They took way faster/better than I was thinking they would because they essentially made a blanket (I think I sowed too heavily lol) Probably going to use them as a cover crop in my outdoor garden next year. Thanks MIGardener!
Still cold here, and I’m a bit behind. Not planted yet. Can’t tell you anything.
I'm happy with the price and deliver of the seeds. I will be planting these soon. I can't wait to see how they grow and the taste of the lettuce.
Order was lost in shipping. Contacted Migardener, they told me they weren’t responsible for it. I was told that they were having a lot of delayed packages and other issues with the mail service. They told me to contact the postal service. I did, no results there either.. I ordered back in March. This is the end of April. Worst seed ordering experience I have ever had. Their refusal to send out a replacement order leaves me with a very bitter experience.

I've grown this variety of zucchini for 3 seasons in both 7 gal and 100 gal fabric pots. It grows very well and produces very well. We like the flavor and texture much more than green/black zucchini. Easily hand pollinated.
Arrived quickly, can't wait to plant this for spring
I've not had them sprout yet, as I've winter sown them and expect their tini-ness to be visible next spring and I'll plant them then...But, Your seeds are always viable, so I've no doubt they will be great in this instance also.
If a flower could wink, the Chocolate Cherry Sunflower absolutely would. These seeds don’t just grow—they perform. I planted them expecting a pretty pop of color. What I got was a full-on backyard drama starring velvety mahogany petals, smoldering ruby undertones, and bees treating them like a five-star resort.
These little overachievers sprout fast, grow strong, and then burst into velvety red-and-chocolate blooms that look like sunflowers dressed for a black-tie gala.
They’re bold, dramatic, and total showstoppers—the kind of flowers that make neighbors slow down and ask what on earth you planted.
If you want something easy, reliable, and downright stunning, this is the sunflower. Honestly? They’ve ruined plain yellow sunflowers for me. 🌻🍒✨
Planted this is in my side yard, just gorgeous, tons of butterflies and pollinators all year, going to get more and do more areas, maybe even some graffitti gardening
