AnnualChioggia beet, an heirloom variety from Italy, is famous for its striking, concentric rings of pink and white inside its roots. Originally from Chioggia, Italy, it is difficult to find in stores.This variety is cold tolerant, making it a winner through the hardest seasons. The greens are also edible, adding a nutritional boost to salads and sautés. Chioggia beets are not only visually stunning but also offer a mild, earthy flavor, making them a delightful addition to any garden and culinary creation.
Satisfied with shipping, can't review seeds yet. Most are for next year, but I may get some Jade Green Beans planted this week after all my beets are pulled. I planted them this spring and ended up with only 3 plants. Rabbits probably ate 3 others, never saw the rest germinate. Hoping to get some this fall! One of the 3 plants had at least 20 beans this week for the 1st pick, wow! Another variety I got from you, can't remember which, is going to go crazy this week after it rains.
Direct sowed. visible sprouts in less than a week. Growing well, look healthy.

Beets were not my thing until I tried a Chioggia Beet! This beet had the most unique flavor and colorful pattern I have ever seen. This will be a staple in my garden and I am look forward to planting more in 2025.
