Petroselinum crispum. Hamburg rooted parsley is a unique heirloom variety grown for both its flavorful leaves and its edible roots. Unlike common parsley, this type produces a white, carrot-like root with a mildly earthy, parsley-celery flavor, ideal for soups, stews, and roasting. The leafy tops are also edible and used like flat-leaf parsley. Originating in Europe, it’s a cool-season biennial often grown as an annual. It prefers loose, well-drained soil for optimal root development. With its dual-purpose use and rich culinary history, Hamburg rooted parsley is a valuable addition to herb gardens and root vegetable beds alike.
It's too early to know how I feel about the plant. It just snowed 12". But the seeds came fast, everything in my order was correct, and if it's like every single other order I've placed from you-- germination will be excellent.
I haven't started growing these yet, but I am really looking forward to my growing season this year with all the great seeds I got from y'all.
Love this stuff! Great company!
Fast shipping, as described
I’ve grown this for a couple years and I’m loving it! The roots are like small parsnips, and the tops are like parsley, saving me room in the garden. The germination rate is better than parsnips, and they still last in the ground until spring if you need long term storage.
Fast to Sprout! Starting inside, as it's March in Michigan.
Seem to be top notch quality.
Planted 3 seeds all 3 germinated. I will seperate them for 3 plants. Cannot say how they taste as just started on this journey.
I got nearly 100% germination rate on these seeds.
100% germination plants are growing beautifully!! These are the best tomato plants ever! Will buy again next year!
We planted five seeds in five die pattern in 12 x 2.5" starter pots because we suspected finicky germination rate, but much to our surprise 53 of the 60 seeds came up! We gave four seedlings to family and pricked the remaining 49 out and everyone is doing very well in its own pot. Grade A seeds in our opinion! We love MIGardener!
