This variety grows fast, and is perfect for growing in containers! True romaine in flavor, with eye-catching deep mahogany leaves. Brings a sweet, flavorful crunch to any salad. Low maintenance with a generous harvest.
This romaine seemed to be smaller and more tender than store varieties, and resisted getting bitter. I had a little trouble with germination though.
The stuff I’ve received is high-quality and I will definitely purchase again
I grew this lettuce this spring. They were last year's seeds, but still had excellent germination rate. I loved the two tone color! It made a beautiful salad. It had an excellent crunch. I have already started a second tray of these and will definitely buy these again.
This has become one of my favorite varieties of lettuce to grow, and I grow a lot of varieties to have all the shapes, textures, flavors, colors of lettuce. This one in particular gets 'extra points' for being a nice red color even growing indoors under grow lights. Most red leaf lettuce varieties I grow only have a slight reddish tint growing indoors, but this one is red indoors, deep red outdoors. It is a must grow for me moving forward.

Great fertilizer. Used for the first time last year for my fall bulbs and they were stunning and strong come spring. Planting another 250 bulbs this fall so came back for more bulb fertilizer. I also use the Trifecta. Can’t go wrong with any of Luke’s amendments.
Great germination and very prolific.
I grew this in a straw bale garden in 2025 and really enjoyed it. It grew amazingly well and was beautiful, so I purchased more for 2026. Michigan zone 6b.
I have grown these for the last few years and they are hands down my favorite. I like romas and firm tomatoes. These remind me of mini romas. These are less prone to splitting, super easy to harvest and has a super great flavor and very meaty. YUM!
The cloves are large, full and heavy. Of the two cloves I kept (shared 2 with my daughter), 12 were large enough to plant, 1 will be consumed.
