This was my first time growing statice but won’t be my last! I started seeds in the greenhouse according to the planting instructions then transplanted outdoors after my last frost day. I deadheaded flowers for a second round of blooms later in the summer.
Germinated great, growing great, tastes great
So far my seeds are growing and I’m eagerly anticipating eating!!
The most pretty tomatoes, they haven’t turned red yet but they have blacktops (purple in the sun) and green bottoms. I cannot wait to try these!
This is a favorite to grow. Germinate well. Grows good. Is pretty looking and pretty tasty.
So far, this variety is doing excellent in my north Idaho climate. I started indoors the first week of May and planted out the first week of June. Germination was decent to good. (Can’t remember the specifics, but I planted the whole packet, and I had at least 20 plants. When potting up, I didn’t pot up all, so there were more that had germinated.)The stems are super thick and strong already— stronger, earlier compared to last year’s, actually (from a different seed company). Flowers are already forming in abundance. Last year, my 4 tomatillos produced buckets and buckets of tomatillos, so I have high hopes for the fruit of MIgardener’s. (I planted 8 starts and sold/gave away the remaining starts, so I should have tomatillos coming out of my ears!) Very pleased with these seeds so far & recommend.
