Long Day - Shallots are a mix between garlic and onion. They provide a delicious mild flavor with much more sugar than onions or garlic. Shallots are able to be grown in many soil conditions and many climates. They can be overwintered in the soil to harvest the following year as multiple smaller shallots similar to how garlic grows, or grown by seed and harvested the first year much like an onion. Highly prized by chefs for their delicate flavor and bringing top dollar at farmers' markets.
I love these Shallots, They have great flavor, easy to grow.
I grow them in my greenstalk but this year, i am growing them in that and pots. brought my greenstalk in the house last year and had fresh shallots all winter. Awesome. :) "pots should be easier".. :)
Save me lots of money, they are so expensive in the store $4.99 a lbs. :0 !!! do the math if ONLY 1/2 come to harvest (which i have had great germ rates) and each .25 lb. that is somewhere around $100 in shallots for $2. they freeze, dehydrate or keep them in a pot in your kitchen. a WIN WIN<:)
Starts easy , growing in my hydroponics
Everything arrived in great condition and we are excited to see what we can grow!
These grew well for me in Ohio. They didn't get super big for me but they have kept very well in storage. Will be growing again this year with more fertilizer hoping for a bigger yield!
Great size, flavor and harvest size. Easy to grow.
We absolutely love this game! Growing Season is fun to play, and easy enough to where even our 5 year old enjoys playing with us. Thank you for creating something that keeps us excited for for gardening season even in the middle of the snowy winter!
This game is so much fun, it's so unique, and it definitely keeps with the cabin fever in winter when we'd rather be out in the garden. Also the quality of it is better than any card or board game I've ever bought. Highly recommend!
Bought these seeds for Christmas and could not wait for spring to start them. They have been growing in my hydroponics now for about a month and with the cut and come again method I've been harvesting for about 2 weeks. The seeds have great germination. Kids and chickens are enjoying them.
I'm not just saying this because I am from the great state of New York, but the New Yorker tomato from MI Gardener is stupendous....It almost over-performed last summer (is that even possible?) I can't wait to get started with them again this year.!!
I used revive Rex last year with excellent outcomes. I wanted you to make sure I have it on had for this gardening season.
