2,500-3,000 SHU. To get the full mulato experience, make sure to let this poblano pepper dry on the vine! The depth flavor of this variety is prune-like and smoky, making it a unique experience! This is a great companion for mole and chile con carne recipes!
Package arrived promptly. I planted a few seeds, all of which germinated, and are now growing nicely in their grow bags.
Took a very long time to germinate…3 weeks or so. And only 1/3 of them came up. But hoping they do great once planted out!
Love yall,
Mitzi
Initially, only 6/8 seeds came up, but the other two popped up about a week later.
Our seeds are all grown up and have turned into healthy plants for our farm. We are surprised at the growth rate of these and would highly recommend them as they are trying to fruit 3 months in.
I grew these seeds in 2024. Grew 8 plants total and all I got was skimpt little red peppers, smaller than any jalapenos I have grown, With poor taste to boot. Even my neighbors pigs wouldn't eat them. BUYER BEWARE!

Producing wonderfully :)
This doesn't fail to impress. Great variety that successfully blooms throughout the season!
Great seed quality!
I grew this pepper plant in a 20 gallon pot and it did very well. It produced dozens of small peppers that were spicy—hotter than your standard jalapeno. I put about 3 of these in my salsa to spice it up along with 5-7 whole jalapeños (I roast them which takes out a portion of the yea). This little plant produced so many peppers that I froze a gallon bag of them to use in recipes throughout the year.
I am loving this squash! It grows so long and has beautiful leaves. I grow it upward and loves it! I have harvested at least 3-4 on one plant already. The remainder of the blooms are male, and I am not sure if I will have any more. :( I have, however, planted more in the mean time hoping I will harvest as many as this one. I will definately grow more!. Thank you!
