Production will increase with every harvest. The fordhook variety specifically is one of the most prolific producers of swiss chard.
The chard grew really well against a West boarder fence facing East and getting lots of sun with late afternoon shade. My chickensand I enjoyed the abundance from just 2 plants in 2025. Thanks

The Fordhook Swiss Chard is great. I grow it every year. It grows well and tastes great. I can grow it in Spring, Summer, Fall and it comes back the next Spring. I have tried to grow other colors of Swiss Chard, but I find that the Fordhook Swiss Chard grows the best.
Germination rates are high on all the MI Gardener seeds I’ve purchased, and customer service is great!!
I have not planted these yet (it's January) but I have never received any seeds from MIgardener that did not produce good results
