Cylindra beet is a unique, cylindrical variety prized for its uniform shape and sweet, tender flesh. Ideal for slicing and canning, this beet matures in about 55-60 days. Plant in well-drained, fertile soil with full sun exposure. Sow seeds 1 inch apart and thin seedlings to 3-4 inches to allow for growth. Cylindra beets are known for their long, narrow roots, which make them easy to harvest and prepare. Consistent moisture is key for optimal growth. The greens are also edible and can be used in salads or sautéed. This variety is perfect for gardeners seeking high yields and easy processing.
These beets grew very well for us! We added compost and sand to our clay soil. Their shape was elongated instead of round, which made for easier peeling and consistent sized slices. As a bonus, the American Goldfinches flocked to them to nibble on the leaves. We let them have the tops, while we enjoyed the roots!
These are such tasty, reliable and cutely shaped beets. These were by far my most well producing beet variety I planted this year. Love that they are fairly uniform in shape and they taste great.
excellent seeds, high germination rate, great value
Great beet for slicing. Love it pickled or freeze dried.
These beets are great! They are very good for high intensity sowing since they grow vertically and they have a great flavor! Highly recomend!

I grew only a few seeds, but they came up fine, and I was able to get some delicious, sweet melon! I sprayed it once with a copper fungicide, and I should have done it a second time, but I still go melons. (I have a struggle with fungal problems here). Easy to grow, easy to eat!
This stuff feed my garden all summer. Highly recommend
This was one of my first tomatoes from MIgardener seed and I loved it so much. Very tasty green tomato, and even though it was only in a smallish container, it was one of my best producers! Nice clusters (not quite so big and dense as the photo, for me at least...) and great flavor for eating fresh in the garden. I'm not the best with tomatoes, I don't treat them as well as I should, and I grow in Seattle (8b?) which is finicky weather every year, so I was surprised these did so well! Will definitely grow again. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures saved on the vine, but the little green one in the attached photo is one of them!
Love sales. Time to stock up
Pollinators love this flower. Especially honey bees.
They grew in spring then reseeded themselves for fall.
