Heat tolerant and a high-bush variety, great for Mid-Central, Southern Northeast, and Mid-Atlantic regions. Not recommended for Northern States. They came great and they look great.
I can't wait for the plant to grow and give me lots of fruit
New plants came well wrapped and healthy and strong. Planted them that day in pots (until I know exactly where these are going) and plants have already sent out a great amount of growth.
Darrow is a favorite blueberry variety so far because It fruits in generous, beautiful grape-like clumps. The berry size of 'Darrow' isn't small or overly large, I would say it's sort of a medium-large. It is a sturdy robust plant. I can't speak on the Darrow Blueberry flavor yet because they are still green, but obviously any homegrown organic heirloom blueberry is going to taste great. I planted this Darrow Blueberry in a large pot of acidified, rich soil in spring of 2023, it is now June 4, 2024 and I took this photo of the Darrow yesterday. I'm pointing to Darrow {{and *right next to the Darrow is the 'Jersey' which I planted to serve as a pollinizer for the Darrow, Darrow and Jersey both bloom around the same time and will cross pollinate but the Jersey has smaller berries and more open, less generous clumps.}} Both varieties of blueberries are nice though. I have future plans to eventually plant all of my blueberries into ground because these varieties will become large bush's.
Packaged really well and doing great in the ground
