AnnualOriginating in France, the Savoy Cabbage is a large drumhead storage variety. The leaves are large and textured with beautiful crinkled pattern that are not as tightly wrapped as a typical heading cabbage, yet have a much better flavor profile. Savoy are cold tolerant and mature later in the season than most cabbages giving them the opportunity to weather a light frost further developing their flavor.
I am growing these in my fall garden right now and they look amazing! I am so excited to get these onto my table as soon as they are ready!

I love this cabbage for fermenting. I grew it the last three years and started them again this year. They sprouted perfect and if it does well I’ll be harvesting them in late November or mid December. It’s been very hot in the upper 100’s for October here in Hawaii so they are struggling to get going. I hope this years cabbage will grow without bolting from this heat. It’s been a very strange two years for growing my garden.
For some reason this was a tough plant to get started. Once it was big enough and outside it seemed to do well. Did well in zone 5b and cooks up really well.
My cabbages are growing nicely, germination was fast as well
Grew these for the past three years and I will keep growing them for many more. I highly recommend them. Great germination rate. Every onion grew to the size of baseballs and others a bit bigger and they store very well.Best long day onion I have ever grow.

Started my seeds on 12/31/25. I’ve had almost 100% germination and the onion seedlings are a couple of inches tall at this point (1/9/26). Looking forward to a great harvest!
Grew these last year, so I bought more seeds! they were awesome, very prolific and tasted great!!
I started them early....did waterjug winter seed starts .. they did very well....grew up to be nice sturdy plants, bearing lots of fruit! Thank You!!
