USA-Manufactured Derecho Gothic High Tunnel

The Derecho is Bootstrap Farmer's largest and strongest greenhouse kit, built for growers who need a structure that holds up to hard winters and open-field wind. The Gothic arch peaks at 12' 4" and sheds snow instead of collecting it, and 5' sidewalls give you room to work all the way out to the edge beds.

The frame is USA-made galvanized steel with a 1.9" 13-gauge peak, a truss on every hoop, and bolted connections instead of screws. Every kit ships with all-metal hip and base boards, purlin kits, and corner bracing, so there is no lumber to source, cut, and replace a few years down the road.

This is the same tunnel Luke grows in. Choose "With ventilation and shade" to get his exact setup. Choose "No ventilation or shade" if you want a different shade cloth or plan to handle ventilation your own way.

BUYING WITHOUT VENTILATION OR SHADE?

This tunnel takes a 32' x 60' shade cloth. You can choose from 30% white, 50% white, 30% black, or 50% black. If you wish to add active ventilation later, we recommend the 24" shutter-mount exhaust fan, 24" aluminum intake shutter and the 15 amp thermostat.

The steel framing in this kit is 100% U.S.-made, cut, bent, and fabricated at Bootstrap Farmer's Texas facility. Some components — including the greenhouse film and fasteners (nuts and bolts) — are sourced from outside the U.S.
