If you love eggplant and you like unique heirloom varieties, look no further! This variety produces 4" round, deep orange fruits that resemble oranges hanging on a small tree! Beautiful green streaks add character with a flavor that is a bit softer than a traditional eggplant. This variety is soft and buttery when cooked or fried. The seeds are smaller and less noticeable which gives this variety a desirable texture for cooking. The richest flavored eggplant variety in the world.
I love MIGardener! Unfortunately my last order was stolen out of my mailbox. The envelope was left and seeds were taken. I have ordered in the past and have had great success with seeds from here!
Germination is great!!
I planted 2 in 6 seed starting cells , and every single one has sprouted! I'm very excited to see them grow this year!
I love eggplants but I have never seen these before buying them here. Great germination and my seedlings are thriving and growing quickly. Excited to share these with friends, family, and my community.
Easily germinated. Created tiny seedlings I thought would keel over within a day. I planted them in a sunny area, and wished them 'Bon Voyage'. I had a ton of orange-size eggplants throughout the summer/fall until the first freeze. The taste is slightly different than other eggplants, with more seeds. These are better as an interesting addition to your other eggplants, rather than 'instead of'.

Great fertilizer. Used for the first time last year for my fall bulbs and they were stunning and strong come spring. Planting another 250 bulbs this fall so came back for more bulb fertilizer. I also use the Trifecta. Can’t go wrong with any of Luke’s amendments.
Great germination and very prolific.
I grew this in a straw bale garden in 2025 and really enjoyed it. It grew amazingly well and was beautiful, so I purchased more for 2026. Michigan zone 6b.
I have grown these for the last few years and they are hands down my favorite. I like romas and firm tomatoes. These remind me of mini romas. These are less prone to splitting, super easy to harvest and has a super great flavor and very meaty. YUM!
The cloves are large, full and heavy. Of the two cloves I kept (shared 2 with my daughter), 12 were large enough to plant, 1 will be consumed.
