Royal Burgundy bush bean is an exceptional heirloom variety known for its striking deep purple pods that add vibrant color to any garden. These beans mature in about 55 days, producing an abundance of slender, tender, and stringless pods that are easy to harvest. The compact, bushy plants are resistant to common bean diseases and perform well in a variety of climates, including cooler temperatures. When cooked, the purple pods turn green, revealing their delicious, crisp flavor. Ideal for fresh eating, canning, and freezing.
I grew these as a part of the bush bean Mix pack last year. I liked them so much I got a whole pack this year. They were so easy to grow in my garden. Even when bugs were eating the leaves they produced well! Great flavor. They do turn green when cooked, but that was fine with me!
Planted all of my seeds over the weekend. Looking forward to some great produce this summer!
My kids insist I plant this variety every year. They prefer to eat them raw but they are also tasty cooked. The beans grow on small, productive bushes. They did much better than my usual green bean variety last year so I ended up using them for canning which I wouldn't recommend. The canned beans turn an unappetizing brown. Otherwise, an outstanding reliable variety.
Nice compact plant. Tasty, tender, perfect little bean for completing a dinner or as a snack. My kids love that they change from purple to green when cooked. Excellent cooked in an air fryer with a dash of salt, pepper and garlic powder. Highly recommend
Great grower

Hard to leave a review just planted them.. but over all I was pleased when they arrived ❤️
I wasn't sure it would survive when I planted it, but it is growing. Very happy with my purchase
I immediately set this plant outside to begin hardening off. After about 2 weeks, I planted it in it's dedicated grow bag until I get a more permanent planter, and I must say it is living life. It has grown so much since I received it. I believe I'm going to remove the blossoms this year to continue promoting healthy growth.
Love this. I collect stickers on my garden notebook for fun and inspiration and this spoke to me.
Very good seed potatoes, growing well
