Lucullus Swiss Chard

I have not planted it yet. I received them really quickly and will plant them in oct.

I planted this variety and the perpetual spinach variety of chard this year in zone 8a (GA/Tenn border). The lucullus handled the heat at the end of the summer better than perpetual spinach. It looks a little different than the packet photo. My mom commented that it looks like bok choi. The leaves and stem are smooth and somewhat shorter than other chard varieties I've grown. The flavor was pretty mild.

I love this chard!! It's completely replacing celery in my garden lol and I will be growing some every year from now on! It grew huge and is delicious as a replacement for celery in soups ❤️ and Texas spring didn't kill it 😆 I planted a new batch to see if it can survive the summer to give me late summer/early fall cuttings 🤞
