Monarda citriodora. Not a true mint, this variety is a dramatic addition to the herb garden. Clustered towers of purple flowers bloom to attract pollinators as they release a heavenly scent. Crush the leaves of this variety to release their bright lemony scent. Leaves can be used raw, dried, or cooked for seasoning in any recipe.

Beautiful flowers & great pollinator plant!

I didn't use the leaves much, instead I let it flower and used it to attract pollinators, some of which were humming birds! Pictures of the flowers do not do it justice, they are absolutely beautiful and las a long time.

Absolutely stunning native flower!

Not only is this plant absolutely beautiful, its actually a native flower to most of the southern, and western US!
