AnnualBred in Grand Rapids in the late 1800s, this variety is a Michigan classic! Grown for its large loose heads and frilled leaves, it makes for a romaine substitute with much more flavor and character. Delicious, crisp, and easy to grow.
I had to buy this because we live near Grand Rapids. It’s a great lettuce and just keeps growing.
Haven't planted this yet but I know it will do great. All MIGardener seeds have a very high germination rate, so I am looking forward to an abundant harvest next spring/summer. Love these guys and hope to visit in person soon!!

Fun way to get new interesting varieties in the garden, I love the grab bags! My sister and I have purchased these for the last few years and we make a big deal about the big reveal. We video-call each delivery (we both purchase more than one set) and play some sort of game or announcement of each packet . It’s the highlight of fall and helps us get over the end of gardening season blues!
The taste of this tomato is super sweet. I made pico de gallo and it was a treat. I got a one pound tomato in my grow bag.
