German White Garlic (Hardneck)
I planted these in zone 8 in western Oregon at end of October around when we expect our first frost. Had some frost but been milder weather so they are already popping up with green stems a couple inches tall. We'll see how they do come Spring. These arrived clean and medium sized bulbs. Excited to taste test about 10 varieties this year.
Bulbs were nice. Cloves were large. There were no bad cloves when planted.
Bulbs were good size and in great condition. Looking forward to a great crop of garlic next summer!
I can't really review the outcome of the garlic, but I can say the bulbs that I received were lovely and large and have begun to root, so I am optimistic for a good if not great harvest!

Great fertilizer. Used for the first time last year for my fall bulbs and they were stunning and strong come spring. Planting another 250 bulbs this fall so came back for more bulb fertilizer. I also use the Trifecta. Can’t go wrong with any of Luke’s amendments.
Great germination and very prolific.
I grew this in a straw bale garden in 2025 and really enjoyed it. It grew amazingly well and was beautiful, so I purchased more for 2026. Michigan zone 6b.
I have grown these for the last few years and they are hands down my favorite. I like romas and firm tomatoes. These remind me of mini romas. These are less prone to splitting, super easy to harvest and has a super great flavor and very meaty. YUM!
The cloves are large, full and heavy. Of the two cloves I kept (shared 2 with my daughter), 12 were large enough to plant, 1 will be consumed.
