A vigorous vining plant with fruit about the size of grapes that tastes like cucumbers with a tinge of sourness. Resembles mini watermelons! This variety grows best with trellising. Resistant to powdery mildew and other pests and diseases that plague cucumbers, making this a must-grow for any gardener. Plants also will be more tolerant to cold and heat than regular cucumbers.

Tasty surprise love heat

I’ve planted these in early May and didn’t think they were going to make it. They did not really take off until August and now we have dozens of tiny melon, cucumbers, that everyone loves to pick and crunch. The grandkids think they’re amazing!

LOVE 'em!!!!

I grow these every year! They are prolific and have adorable little flowers too. My friends always ask for some each year. We eat them raw, straight from the plant and they are delicious fermented with dill and garlic. Perfect bite sized pickles!

Fun to grow!

Curly cue tendrils and cute mini-watermelon-looking cucumbers. I only planted a couple of seeds which produced just the right amount for snacking, if you want to pickle, plant more. Seeds germinated well. (Direct sow.) Not sure they are worth my limited bed space, and think I’ll use a grow bag next time.
