Chesnok Red-Purple Stripe is a hardneck variety that was originally cultivated in the Republic of Georgia and brought over to the United States after 1985. These bulbs produce 4-6 medium cloves with a paper coating showing beautiful red stripes. The rich sweet flavor holds its own through the cooking process and is sure not to overpower your dish. Chesnok Red is grown well in most climates, from the southern to the northern parts of the United States. This heirloom variety is known to store longer than many hardneck varieties, keeping its vitality into the next spring!

So far so good

Wonderful condition. The cloves were somewhat small but that is to be expected of this type of garlic. First time buying it here, love the quality of seeds, so thought I would give it a shot with garlic! We shall see in the spring!
