Dwarf Indeterminate - This New Zealand heirloom is a remarkable dwarf variety that will grow some of the largest fruits possible for such a small plant. At only 2-3 feet tall, each plant can produce fruits up to 12oz a piece! Deliciously sweet in flavor with yellow and red flesh, this variety will produce throughout the season and will not disappoint.

Wherokowhai, one of our most favorite, best tasting

Just finished a delicious Wherokowhai tomato grown this yr 2024. Continues to be one of our most favorite and best tasting, and we are growing 27 tomato varieties this yr. Excellent tomato flavor, refreshing, bright, sweet, meaty and juicy. We pick all our tomatoes near the beginning when it just begins to color-up to avoid pests. We let our tomatoes ripen on the counter (stem side down). To get the full flavor for Wherokowhai we wait for it to turn mostly reddish-orange color 75% mixed-in with yellow color 25%. This is our second yr growing, original seeds from MIgardener. Plants are stocky and ours get to 4 feet tall by mid-August probably because we single-stem. I'm loving dwarf indeterminate tomato plants. They are lower maintenance more compact than your typical large 6'-8'H indeterminates (less pruning, less tying-up, less of a space hog, easier to stake). Wherokowhai reliably gives us good yields of delicious medium-sized bi-colored meaty tomatoes. Growing 2 Wherokowhai in containers. Plan to grow again next year!
