AnnualCichorium intybus. Chicory is a versatile plant known for its bitter, flavorful leaves and vibrant blue flowers. Widely used in culinary applications, chicory leaves can be enjoyed raw in salads, adding a slightly bitter edge, or cooked to mellow their flavor. The plant’s roots are often roasted and ground as a coffee substitute or additive. Rich in vitamins A, C, and K, as well as fiber and minerals, chicory supports overall health. It’s also used medicinally to aid digestion and liver function.
The only place to buy seeds
Started Chicory and Italian dandelion in my garage under grow lamps. Goal is to transplant outside in backyard on a warmish day here in North Texas in January or February.
Germination for both is very good however the Chicory seedlings are bigger and stronger than the Italian dandelion under the exact same conditions.
Hope to harvest the greens in spring. Curious to see if the roots survive the hot summers and plants return next year.
I look forward in trying my luck growing Chicory.

Thank you for fulfilling our order for red raspberry plants. I ordered 20 plants, 7 for my daughter in law’s birthday present and 13 for our new red raspberry bed. Twelve of the 13 we planted have thrown out shoots and leaves. We are patiently waiting on the 13th. Red raspberries are one of our favorite fruits and are used to make our favorite jam. We look forward to picking our own harvest.
I have had great success with all my purchases from MIGardner. The potatoes arrived timely and had plenty of eyes. I only lost one cutting to rot while skinning and the rest successfully sprouted. Very happy, the rest is up to me!
We purchased four kits and made the 3x8 variety. The process was swift and easy to perform. It can be done by one person. Our beds are filled with soil and ready for the 2025 planting season!
This spinach is awesome. I winter sowed it in Feb 2025 in some gallon jugs and deep lettuce containers. It came up great. Transplanted to a raised bed in April Although the leaves are huge, they are super tasty. So far, I am loving your seeds. Would buy again!!!
