AnnualIndeterminate - Dating back to the mid-1800’s, this Russian variety is a rust orange beefsteak style tomato that looks exactly like a persimmon when fully ripe. Plants will produce heavy yields. Great slicing tomato. The tomatoes are low acid and therefore have a shorter shelf life. Good for slicing, sandwiches, and salads.

Started setting fruit in May, which were ready to harvest in July, but we couldn't get to them until we took care of our rodent problem in August. The rats and mice just love them, and you will too, given the chance.

I ordered two Natchez Blackberry plugs. If I had known the quality I would have ordered more! There was great care taken into consideration when it came to shipping these live plants. They arrived fully intact with not even a broken leaf. I'm hoping to expand my berry patch with thornless berries. Im tired of the old way of leaving sweat and tears in the berry patch. I'll definitely order more if given the chance.
Trying something I heard about. Planted sweet peas in the extra space around my asparagus. So far, so good.
These San Marzano tomatoes have the most robust stems of all my tomato plants. First time tomato gardener but I have high hopes for this sauce tomato cultivar! I am already rooting a clone because it is doing so well. Can't wait for the fruit!
