I managed to get decent stalk size from these growing in South Florida heat, but in this hot climate you must give it shading and consistent watering. Also avoid ants, so I think they will do well in fabric grow bags that have a little higher compost percentage in the mix to help water retention. As it grows, make sure to blanch it, this is key to get thicker stalk. So if you grows them in containers, note the soil surface height.

Grew celery from starts before but couldn’t eat them raw. This variety tastes great and we didn’t even blanche them. With about 6 plants, should have lots to freeze over winteror stock etc.

Must have been delicious. The squirrels dug them up, roots and all, before we could harvest them. I had no idea squirrels liked celery. We will try again. They grew great.
