Indeterminate – Although this heirloom originated in the Ukraine, it is named after a Russian city for unknown reasons. Deep burgundy/ green in color with a flattened globe shape. This variety is grown for slicing with its low acidity and sweetness. Yields tomatoes that can weigh up to 1 lb each! Ideal for juicing or canning. In hotter climates, this variety can have a slightly smoky flavor. Stake for best airflow.
*Oopsie we made a Whoopsie. If you received these packets there is a misprint as to where to start these tomatoes. PLEASE START INDOORS.*

This is one of my absolute favorite variety I grow year after year – nearly pure flesh with very little seeds and rich flavor. great slicer! I’ve gotten some really large tomatoes with good pruning/taking off suckers. Highly recommend.

Absolutely delicios taste with an old-fashioned heirloom appearance. Unfortunately almost of the tomatoes cracked, even the small ones. Attracted lots if insect damage. The other varieties growing in the same bed did not have this problem. That’s the only reason I would not grow these again. I wonder if there is a way to address the cracking because these tomates tasted great.
