An old family heirloom that originated with the Hanson family in Maryland. Refreshing in taste! This variety is great for those that love iceberg, but want something a bit crunchier. Great to add on deli sandwiches or to toss up for a salad.

      These are so pretty to grow! I wish there was an area to upload a picture! This is so easy to grow! You need to try it!

      I’m a novice gardener but I have had an easy time growing this lettuce. I grew them in small “over rail” containers. High germination rate and lovely plants developed. I harvested with “cut and come again” method and had great re-growth. The flavor is nice and mild, tender leaves that great on sandwiches or as a “base” lettuce for salads.
