This spring and fall crop tolerates cool weather and moist conditions. A tender green variety with succulent crisp lettuce leaves. Flavor is similar to spinach. Delicious in salads and sandwiches.

      Very poor in germination and seeds that germinate do not do well during winter or spring. I was not able to harvest anything from these yet.

      We had no trouble with germination of Vit in our raised garden beds. We did sow it fairly thick, and ended up with a nice full row among our lettuce and other greens. The taste was fantastic, I preferred it to most lettuce. This year I am ordering two packets, one for Spring and the other for Fall harvesting.
