Amaranth is a super grain packed with omega fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, fiber, and protein. The leaves are edible and used in salads or steamed like spinach. The grain can also be used for animal feed or used as a flour replacement. Amazing in smoothies, baked goods, or even popped like popcorn! The flowers are deep purple and the leaves are a yellow-green color. The plants grow to be around 3-4 feet tall.

      Excellent germination. They would probably work great as micro greens as well.

      I love all Amaranth because it makes a great statement in your garden but this one is shorter so it’s great in a flower bed to add color and attract some pollinators.

      First time ever growing this. Had beautiful flower spikes that blended well with other flowers in garden adding great color. The deer liked the leaves but not the flowers. Will try some in the fenced in garden to get the greens to eat next time. Would definitely grow again.
