Winter Bush. Gill’s Golden Pippin squash is a delightful heirloom variety known for its compact, acorn-shaped fruits and rich, sweet flavor. The vibrant golden-yellow skin encloses tender, orange flesh that is perfect for baking, roasting, and stuffing. This prolific bush-type plant is ideal for small gardens and container growing. Each plant produces multiple fruits. Gill’s Golden Pippin is valued not only for its culinary versatility but also for its ornamental appeal, adding a splash of color to any garden.
My seeds came on time, and I was very happy to be a part of the migarden seed family!
I bought these last year, to test out and see. I absolutely loved these, they are a but sweeter than normal acorn squash, other than that and their gorgeous color, they were incredible. Every seed i planted germinated and I got about 5 per plant, even with major lack of water due to well issues and no rain, they pushed through and provided squash for my family. I am ordering more this year! They are a must have in my opinion.
I was looking for a compact squash that would grow well in raised beds and the Golden Pippen checked off all the boxes.
First time to plant these seeds, I will let you know the results,

As described. Good germination.
We have nice fertile soil in our greenhouse and able to control those pesty little flea beetles that can decimate eggplants foliage. I've been keeping them under control with DE and my eggplants are massive in size, about 3-4 feet tall with 1 foot lower leaves.
The eggplants fruit are developing nicely, nearly doubling in size daily. There are plenty of blossoms too. We're expecting that we won't need to grow more for a few years, we're planning on freeze drying most if them.
I purchased several packs of seeds from MiGardener during the semi annual sale, and they did not disappoint! Nearly 100 percent germination rate on all seeds I've planted. The only thing I haven't been able to germinate is lemon grass, which I'm learning may 1 take a very long time to germinate in general and 2 need bottom heat to help them sprout. Even without being on sale 2 bucks a seed pack for the amount they give (very generous compared to other companies, I might add) is a crazy good deal. If you have been on the fence, I encourage you to give MiGardener seeds a try! Thank you Luke and team, and Happy Gardening to all!
I'm not a seasoned gardener, so I don't necessarily know what's normal or not, but out of all the seeds I planted (got about a dozen different herbs and greens from MIgardener), the fenugreek was the quickest to sprout, had the highest germination rate, and the largest sprouting leaves. I'm pretty excited to watch them grow into beautiful plants.
Gardening for over 40 years. The Trifecta very impressed has all the elements I want in a fertilizer. Next year I will buy the largest amount.
